How to Join Us

The work is not easy to do, however, and the opportunity to pursue this career requires that you show us drive, commitment and follow through. In a sense your interview begins now. The evaluation process takes into account how well you handle the requirements of this application as well as how you conduct yourself when on the phone and in our office.

At different stages in the application and hiring process you will be asked to:

  • Complete Application for Employment (PDF)
  • Provide at least three references verifying work history and positive work habits
  • Show proof that you are at least 18 years of age
  • Show proof of educational achievement. (Direct Service requires that at a minimum you have graduated from high school or have a GED)
  • Successfully complete an oral interview
  • Write a short statement telling us why you want to work in human services
  • Certify that you possess good moral character
  • Successfully complete a workforce background investigation including but not limited to: fingerprinting and driving record check
  • Successfully complete a physical examination and TB test
  • Show proof of work eligibility
